Joseph Craig , Managing Director, Live Theatrical Events

Joseph Craig began his career in the marketing department of Paramount Pictures, where he worked for six years until Joseph Farrell, head of National Research Group (a division of Nielsen Entertainment) created a position for him within the market research field.  At NRG Hollywood, Craig worked for twelve years conducting market research for the major Hollywood studios.

In 2005, he came to New York to head up a new division of Nielsen Entertainment, NRGi, which specializes in market research for independent films and live theater.  At NRGi, Craig oversees research screenings, in-theater surveys and focus groups, as well as the testing of marketing materials including key artwork, trailers and TV spots.

Since the inception of NRGi, Craig has become a specialist in Broadway and off-Broadway research strategies and has been profiled on Bravo TV and in The New York Times and other publications for his work in live theater.  NRGi film clients include:  The Weinstein Company, Miramax, Warner Independent Pictures and Picturehouse.  Theater clients include major agencies as well as productions ranging from the off-Broadway Altar Boys to Broadway hits such as Wicked.
