Guy Danella is currently the Director of Development at Gold Circle Films, an LA-based production and financing company. Gold Circle specializes in making commercial films at the independent level, with budgets ranging up to 30 million. Gold Circle has distribution deals with Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage, New Line Cinema and Lions Gate and is responsible for the horror films WHITE NOISE and James Gunn's SLITHER. Currently, they are in post production on the visceral occult thriller, TOWN CREEK, directed by Joel Schumacher, and the supernatural thriller, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, starring Virginia Madsen. Both films are being distributed domestically by Lions Gate.
Guy started as an assistant at Gold Circle and has been at the company for 2 years. His primary tasks are to oversee half the slate, shepherding in new projects, and to develop existing GCF material, ensuring that it is production ready. Guy is ever-present at festivals, scouring for potential remakes and up and coming directors, both foreign and domestic. His first project at Gold Circle, THE NEW DAUGHTER, is an elevated horror currently in pre-production and set for a Feb ‘08 start date with New Line attached to distribute. Kevin Costner and Ivana Baquero (Pan's Labyrinth) are attached to star, with Spanish tyro director, Luis A Berdejo, at the helm. Guy is originally from Boston, MA and is a graduate of Williams College '03. He loves the Red Sox and playing ping pong when he is not watching/making horror films. (2007)
