Alex Klenert , VP, Publicity, Thinkfilm

Over the past three years, Alex has been a mainstay at THINKFilm as Vice President of Publicity developing and implementing the publicity campaigns for over 50 films, most notably on the Oscar nominated movies “Murderball,” “Half Nelson,” and “Taxi to the Dark Side,” in addition to “The Aristocrats,” “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead,” “Candy,” “In the Shadow of the Moon,” and “Avenue Montaigne.”  Before coming to THINKFilm, Alex worked as a publicist at the agency Donna Daniels PR where he handled over 45 films including the Oscar nominated “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room,” in addition to “Baadasssss!,” “Bon Voyage,” “Spider,” and “Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.”  His other studio experience includes Miramax Films where he assisted on the campaigns for films such as “Apocalypse Now Redux” and “Kate & Leopold.”

Prior to working in film publicity, Alex started off in high-tech public relations in New York, and then moved into corporate communications and strategic branding in Toronto.  He is originally from New York and is a graduate of Roger Williams University.  Recently retired from playing minor-league rugby after an undistinguished 10-year career, Alex is now more focused on watching the NY Jets break his heart season after season.
