Donna Sweidan is a credentialed career coach, social networking advocate and Linkedin specialist. In her 15 + years as a coach and counselor she has helped thousands of job seekers and career changers identify the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the demands of the job market. Founder of Careerfolk, LLC, a full-service career management company, she specializes in highly-personalized career coaching, providing an holistic approach that prepares her clients to know, brand & market themselves for today’s highly competitive landscape. Known for her inspiring and information-packed presentations, Donna speaks on a range of career and job search topics both locally and via webinar. A passionate advocate of social media, she is dedicated to teaching people how to integrate web 2.0 technology into the career management process. Donna is currently working on a book and DVD to help professionals embrace and leverage this medium to advance and manage their careers and businesses. Prior to starting Careerfolk, Donna was the founding Director of Career Services at The New School in NYC. Donna has earned the Master Career Counselor designation from the National Career Development Association, is a certified Five O’Clock Coach, and is a New York licensed mental health counselor. She received an M.A. in Counseling from New York University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she was born and grew up.
